Les ing\u00e9nieures chimistes sont charg\u00e9es de la production de produits chimiques et de la conception d\u2019\u00e9quipements, de syst\u00e8mes et de processus qui prennent les mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res et les convertissent sous une forme utile pour r\u00e9soudre un probl\u00e8me sp\u00e9cifique de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9.<\/p>

En termes de pollution plastique, les ing\u00e9nieures chimistes ont travaill\u00e9 pour reconvertir le plastique \u00e0 sa forme originale \u2013 l\u2019huile, carburant et cire. Ce dernier \u00e9tant un produit utile pour les routes et les toits asphalt\u00e9s, il peut \u00eatre ajout\u00e9 aux plastiques, adh\u00e9sifs et rev\u00eatements.
