Two grade 10 students, Hana Haytaoglu and Hannah MacAusland, from Brighton, Ontario are celebrating their success of a potato starch and sunflower oil based plastic. Their biodegradable material can be used for food wrappers and paper cup liners. The two students hope to patent their design by the time they get to grade 12.
